Fonda, Iowa, Public Schools; Drake University, Des Moines, Polk County, Iowa, 1931-32; Buena Vista College, Storm Lake, Iowa, 1932-33. Obtained B.A. in 1964 from Buena Vista College.
Migration and Occupation:
Lived in Fonda, Iowa until teaching elementary school in Truesdale, Iowa for one year and Primghar, Iowa, for the following year. Moved to Emmetsburg in 1935, and lived the remainder of her life in Emmetsburg and Curlew, Palo Alto County, Iowa. She taught in the Junior High School of Emmetsburg Public Schools for 27 more years. Wintered in Arizona for 15 years.
Other activities:
Member of American Association of University Women, Drama Club, and Friday Club; member and treasurer of Curlew United Methodist Church; belonged to the United Church of Christ in Emmetsburg. Her interests centered on golf, bridge, singing, dancing and aerobics.
